Dear Diary,

I did it, dear diary! Half way through March, I quit my job at Phiri & Patel Promotions, and nothing, not in this earth as I know it, felt as good. I did it in style too. End of the day, on Friday, I just walked into Mr. Patel's office and told him it was my pleasure to inform him that I had been offered a post at a new telecom company in their PR department ( a company that I had initially approached as a prospective client) and that I was resigning from his shitty little company with immediate effect. In a fit of panic, he promised to keep Mr. Tembo off my back and increase my salary by 50%. Isn’t the year 2 pin 2 turning out to be one hell of a ride? Can I get a witness? I think my moon must be at a funny angle in my constellation or a meteor shower is occurring over my planet, because boy, is my life some ride!!

Newsflash

On the 26th of march 2005, a privately owned open university was officially launched by his Excellency the President of the Republic of Zambia Mr. Levy Patrick Mwanawasa S.C. Among those in attendance were the first lady Mrs. Maureen Mwanawasa, former Education Minister honorable Andrew Mulenga, Mr. John Mwanakatwe, UNZA vice Chancellor Professor Serpell, cabinet Ministers, diplomats, management, board of directors, students and staff of the open university and other prominent people too numerous to mention. I happened to be one of the invited guests and thus had a rare opportunity of being part of the celebrations held at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre.
