A Cry In The Mountain
Written by Elijah Miti
Early in the morning I heard a cry
A cry for help and desperation
It was a cry of a little child
A cry of a baby

A cry of an unsafe young girl
A cry of a mother whose child was missing
Missing because of wickedness and selfishness
Missing because of many future and present rapists
Rapists in the form of elderly men and women
Men with dark hearts full of rage and revenge
Women who hate because of passed life experiences

Where shall we keep our little girl and boy child safe?
Our homes are no longer safe anymore
Who shall we trust?
Who will protect our girls?
Will it be an uncle, nephew, and stepmother?
Who will protect our helpless children?
From these monsters and perpetrators of rape who rape for wicked beliefs
Who rape to fulfill their wicked desires
Who rape to kill and destroy our families
To some it’s just for pleasure
And to others pure wickedness

I hear a cry in the mountains
A hear a cry of a Child
Whose future is about to be destroyed
Saying help me, protect me, save me
Keep me safe from these warriors
Embrace me in love again you elders

People of God it’s time
Time to pray for this injustice
So that Justice can prevail
Prevail and be served
May our good lord send angels
Angels to protect our needy and unsafe children
For in his arms and under his embrace we shall be safe.
I hear a cry in the mountains!!!!
Saying save me.
