Becoming the Best YOU There Can Ever Be

ImageToday I had a conversation with a 17 year old young girl. She told me she believes that she is not attractive.

What about you? Do you believe you are an attractive person? Do you believe that hidden within you are virtues that would make people want to spend time with you, talk to you, want to ask you questions and so on?

Well maybe you can’t answer on the spot.


People grapple with issues of poor self image.

What is Self image?

Self image is how you see yourself in relation to others. Self image is how you see yourself in relation to your surroundings and how they affect you and dictate matters on your life.

There is a side of you that you ought to be working on right now. Quiet frankly, I am sick and tired of the old and same old Mubita Nawa. I want the new guy to come out. I want a better me to come out. I want a Mubita who has better communication skills, better financial and realistic projections, better friends and better deals.

I want the new person.

Yet if I hold on to the old me, and refuse to adapt and change and improve. I shall die and fail miserably.

Many years ago while still in Zambia, I spoke to a certain lady and said to her, “Madam would you like to have a million dollars some day?”

She looked at me like an eagle and said, “No.”


I was shocked. I could not believe that there were people in this world who could not believe God to receive a million dollars someday. But now when I look back, I have less prejudice towards that lady or anyone else who may have different expectations from life.

What matters is weather you want a million dollars or a million kwacha, that you walk in a healthy self esteem. That you become the best you there can ever be.

Walk away from negative people. You do not need them. If you have friends who are constantly bringing you down, then it’s about time you switched found new company. You do not need people like that in your life.

You need people who celebrate you and appreciate not only what you do but who you are.

Build your self image daily. Accept you for who you are. Accept that you were created the way you are for a reason. You are too unique to give up. You can make it and I know you shall make it.

Be the best you there can ever be. There has never been one like you and I promise you, there will never be.
