| “The Third” Shocks Their Critics with ‘Nifunsako – Gelo Pa Zed’ |

 A few months ago, a young group of youngsters from Chipata Eastern Province calling themselves “The Third”, came unto the music scene with a song called “Nifunsako-Gelo Pa Zed” which was recorded in 2005 in Chipata. Most people said that the guys were just wasting their time and should concentrate on other ventures and not music. Surprisingly after causing a stir both negatively and positively on the Zambian music scene, the boys from Chipata recorded their debut album under RomaSide Studios which has for the past four months or so made lots of noise. The songs have gone on to earn the group such accolades as Radio Phoenix song of the month for June and July. The album has climbed high on reputable musical charts like the “Sounds Top 20”. This is one album that has made phenomenal progress on the Zambian musical scene even though most people thought it would never reach this far. The trio comprises of Michael Chisengalumbwe, Vizhya Banda and Evans Njobvu. These guys have a lot in common i.e. they all met at Kanjala School in Chipata and they were all born in 1986!! At a quick glance, what stands out about the boys is their humility. They naturally blend into any environment and comfortably portray a youth that fits the description of any average modern day Zambian youth. They have certainly handled their fame very humbly, and their stardom very wisely, maybe due to the ‘Rise and Fall’ of other artists they have seen in Zambia. Their album is being launched in September and it is composed of 10 tracks. Trackback(0)

I just want to say "The Third are really good and the album is fantastic. Keep representing Zambia and say hi to Thokoza for me. "The Third" know whom am talking about.
