...wondering and pondering about this reality called life
Either afraid of retribution or simply scared of the repercussion
Internally repressed but yet wallowing in it enormously blessed
Blinded to the fact-yes eyes shut tight by worldly fallacies
Daily trying to make true sense of these obvious abnomalities

State of mind...

...Picture perfect a religious belief only offering temporary emotional and spiritual relief
Trying to understand the paradoxy existance of this world-Heaven or Hell
Being in tune with that very spiritual being
Revealing a deeply unsettled mettle
True to the heart and not merely a traditional ritual thing/

State of mind...

...Just as crude as the next mans' misfortunes
Deeply rooted in the soul
The heart never content nor complete
Eternally decaying in it's own deceit
Diligently studying each prophetic scripture hoping to get the true meaning of this picture
With less clarity
Struggling to make sense of this reality
In the midst of all this comes a confession of guilt
Guilty of looking for love in all but the right places
Longing for solace in all the wrong faces

State of mind...

...Knowing that as short as this life is
Each single moment preciously tucked
Embraced
Cherished
Appreciated
Celebrated
Mind body and soul collectively liberated
And finally
Know that in all things LOVE ultimately validates itself
And this is my state of mind.

I found this piece intruguing and inspiring. well,I think you never stop looking for love, even when you're "in love". In my opinion, you know it's bona fide by the way you grow in it. It has to be natured always and that's why I say you can never, should never stop looking for love in the person(s) you love. Reading the poem again, the last paragraph sums it all up and is true in every word. Would like to here more from the writer.
