Z on The Web - Mulenga Mubanga, C.R.I.$.I.$ and Blaaze
Written by Simunza S. Muyangana
There are more and more and more websites coming up each day featuring Zambians. Here are some othe good ones I've seen recently.

A couple of months ago one of my younger brothers and I were engaged in discussion on whether or not perosnal web pages would have any place in the future with the advent of MySpace. My argument in favour of personal websites was that while MySpace is a great community website, I felt it didn't offer much in the way of the options you could offer as part of your personal brand development.

For example recently my other sent me the website address for Mulenga Mubanga, Zambia's ambassador to the 2006 Nokia Face of Africa. It looks like after Mulenga ended her participation as a semi-finalist in the pan-African model search competition,  she returned to South Africa to work with Jan Malan (producer of the Nokia Face of Africa). She has so far landed herself briliant opportunities including insertions in True Love Babe, Elle and the SOuth african Edition of O - The Oprah Magazine. Her beautifully designed website is all focusd on the lovely Mulenga Mubanga, with features like a photo section that portrays her "evolutionary" development amongst other standard features like a portfolio of her recent work and news. Mulenga's website is a well planned and designed website. Don't just take my word for it - take a look at it here .

It looks like Hip-hop rapper C.R.I.$.I.$. has been working on a new album as a follow up to his solo release "Officer in Charge". C.R.I.$.I.$. who now resides in London, England is already getting press time with popular Hip-hop sites like HipHop Ruckus who did a feature article on him even giving a good review to "Dance To The Song" which will be on his next album. To read the HipHop  Ruckus article click here and don't forget to download "Dance To the Song" here.

Keeping on the Hiphop tip Blaaze the Indian rapper of Zambian origin (or is it Zambian rapper of Indian origin) has continued to ply his trade in India where he now resides. Recently Blaaze completed work on a video to one of his social commentaries, "Ban The Crooked Police". Ban The Crooked Police is already getting play on MTV (India), Vh1 (India), Ch V and B4U in India. Fortunately the web doesn't exclude us from taking a look the well thought out piece of video work. "Ban The Crooked Police" is available on on YouTube here

Nice one... I agree with you; Mulenga's website is very well done. Professionally put together while at the same time her welcome entry has a personal touch to it.
Please keep alerting us on more sites that you come accross!
