Kilsta & Kilimanjaro – "Mafunso"

ALBUM OUT NOW!!

As the wise saying goes………’Better Late Than Never’. Well, though these guys have released their album later that expected I believe its worth the wait. I sampled through the album and was very impressed at the maturity in the songs. I kept rewinding the album as they have only released it on cassette before launching the compact disc version which will have bonus songs. I had a chat with Killian Siyandi A.K.A Kilsta who stated that the response has been great from the people who have heard and bought the album. He said that they say that the album is different from the albums already on the market. The album has a favorite song for everyone because it caters for a varied audience – the young and the old. The album has Reggae, R&B, Rap and Kalindula flavors.
Image The delay for the album release was due to the fact that we wanted to spice up the album. The previous album was mostly reggae songs but we have now featured Hamoba of the Namanje fame, Damiano, Shimpa Ni Zee, Captive, Triple D, Gesh, Benedict Deka and my mother Mrs. Christine Siyandi. Hey…..the song featuring my mother was actually written by my father Mr. Killian Siyandi. I guess it was nice that we delayed the release because now the album is a total package for the Zambian market.

I am working on yet another album which is a strictly Dance Hall album. I am doing this one with an Artist and Producer called Knox, which will as well be on the shelves soon. It’s an album strictly for the Dance Hall lovers out there.
