Launch of UKZAMBIANS Magazine
Written by UKZambians.co.uk
UKZAMBIANS is pleased to announce the launch of the first ever and only glossy magazine for Zambians in the United Kingdom. Six months ago a dedicated team of Zambians decided to launch a Zambian magazine that will give a new distinctive voice to Zambians in Diaspora.
UKZAMBIANS aims to showcase the interest of the Zambians living in the United Kingdom, highlight their socio-economic contributions to the United Kingdom and to act as a forum to facilitate trade exchange between Zambia and the United Kingdom and vice versa.
In carrying out the above, we shall be objective, fair and accurate in our reportage and how we gather information.
“The UKZAMBIANS Magazine is a demonstration of citizens feeling good and confident about themselves. I hope UKZAMBIANS Magazine will act as a forum to inform Zambians in the United Kingdom and the International community of the vast economic opportunities that are being created for both Zambians and non-Zambians alike in Zambia”, said the Zambian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Mr. Anderson K. Chibwa.

“Our focus is to chronicle “extraordinary Zambians in ordinary circumstances, catching riveting moments and excerpts of lives lived with passion and style. At the same time UKZAMBIANS offer this unique and exclusive platform for businesses to reach out to lots of affluent Zambians living in the UK” , said UKZAMBIANS publisher Mr. Daniel Mwamba.
Issues covered by UKZAMBIANS include finance and investment, trade and commerce, arts and culture, entertainment and show business, education and training, health and hospitalities, International business and travels.

Our readership profile cuts across the race gender and the political divides. They include students, professionals, traders and business entrepreneurs, policy makers and various governments and their agencies.

Adverts within the UKZAMBIANS will reach the target market and create the desired impacts.
The magazine whose cover price is £2.50 will be launched on Friday, 17 August 2007 at the offices of the Zambian High Commission at Zambia House, 2 Palace Gate, Kensington London W8 5NG.  The launch will be followed by a reception in the Friday ‘Z’ Club in the basement of Zambia House.  The launch will be officiated by the Zambian High Commissioner to the UK and special guest in attendance will include Lukwesa Burak, a Zambian news anchor working for British Sky Broadcasting (BSkyB).
