| SA's Bleksem Works with Mozambique’s Dama do Bling in MTV Making the Video Challenge with Shell |

South African kwaito sensation Bleksem is eagerly awaiting the final cut for his brand new music video for ‘Thula Uzoyiboma’. Created by a team of four energetic young video practitioners mentored by Canadian director, Little X, the smoking hot video will be the latest output from the MTV Making the Video with Shell Challengeand features a sizzling collaboration between Bleksem and Mozambique’s hip hop queen, Dama do Bling, produced by DJ Cleo. The music video for ‘Thula Uzoyiboma’ will be premiered for the first time on Saturday 6 September in Johannesburg, when it will be unveiled in front of celebrity guests and media during a special preview party at the Movida nightclub in Sunninghill, Johannesburg. The music video will subsequently premiere on MTV base (DStv Channel 322) in October 2008. Bleksem’s music video is to be produced by a team of South African music video wannabes handpicked by LITTLE X, veteran director of more than 80 videos including projects for Sean Paul, Jay-Z and Rihanna. The team (unknown at the time of going to press) will be handpicked by LITTLE X after MTV base issued a challenge for South African film makers to work on the 2008 Making the Video with Shell Challenge. Working against the clock and to a fixed budget, the team has just 6 days to produce, script, shoot and edit a professional standard music video. MTV Making the Video with Shell Challenge kicks off on MTV base on Wednesday 15 October with a 60 minute highlights show reviewing the 2007 initiative featuring HHP (South Africa), Movaizhaleine Gabon), Tinny (Ghana), Uchie the African Rockstar (Nigeria) and Nikki (Kenya). MTV Making the Video with Shell Challenge: South Africa including the global TV premiere of ‘Thula Uzoyiboma’ can be seen on MTV base (DStv Channel 322) on Wednesday 22 October at 19:30 CAT.
